Just another thought.

Where is the fuel pressure gauge plumbed? After the in-line filter?

There are also four little screen filters at the banjo bolts in the carb tops. It may have been decades since they were cleaned. Old fuel hoses can come apart internally, restricting flow. This is where checking the float level is useful.
