The sky's the limit, any new cordless will out perform your old phone. If you want the best (I think) get something that is DECT 6.0 , several companies follow this protocol.
Cell phones have good audio?
It's because you forget how clear phone calls used to be. There's a reason offices still use corded phones on the desks...you can clearly hear, all the time, every time. Even cordless phones are a bit wonky at times.
