porsche4life - in the 356 world, we love the optima because it has lots of CCAs, esp. considering it is a 6v battery. Also, you can mount 'em any way you like, even upside down. Not to mention the no leaking, etc. so you don't have to worry about more corrosion. They are also the right size to be able to fit into a fake housing that looks like an OEM 356 battery.
When I got one for my 356, I left my lights on 3 days in a row, completely draining it each time. Still gave me several years worth of great service after that.
Only bad thing about them that I am aware of is they are sensitive to over charging, so we adjust our voltage regulators to put out 7.25v and no more.
