I do believe that means as you sit on the bike, but I don't recall now, and I would have to take off the plastic to check it. One thing I will say is that I dont have 6" of flames coming out of the tailpipe. I would swap the connections and see if you still have the flames, and then I would check the settings, it is a bit tricky setting them so make sure you have them right.
