I went to school in Davis, about 15 minutes outside of Sacramento. It is hot, oh, and in the winter it is cold and wet.
Fulsom, El Dorado Hills, anything further east on 80 or 50 would be nice.
Vallejo is a great idea as is Benicia.
Cost of living in the El Dorado Hills, Fulsom area would win me over though...this coming from someone in the silicon valley.
