It gets worse.... I asked him to throw this unique japanese paring knife in for $10.
Here's the thing: just yesterday I stumbled across a great deal on a carbon steel 9.5" takohiki (a very unusual type of slicer with a single bevel and a squared-off tip; used a lot for octopus). And I said to myself, "self, you don't need another slicer. It's cool, but it's not $100 cool, and you
don't need another slicer"
Granted, the takohiki is not flexible (this one is)... but I was doing so good until temptation found ME, right in my dayum mailbox!
