Absolutely they are worried that they may not catch the next one which would be more costly to them. I understand that.
But...I am never going to 100% check these parts at the price they are getting them for...there is not a chance in hell of it. That being said they WILL get a defective part again someday I guarantee it. They need to make a decision on their end if they want me to 100% check and raise my prices or if they can create an inline verification process that will always catch such an error. I cannot improve on my current 1 in 200,000 defect rate without 100% sorting.
