A definate no on Elk Grove/South Sac. Work your way from mid-town east to el Dorado, Roseville, and Rocklin. Regional sacramento really has good and bad areas all mixed up throughout the whole area, you need to really spend energy on the actual dwelling for a great place to live. You may find a $900,000 home next to a $300,000 home. Just stay away from the southern region..., oh and hwy 99 sux for traffic.
