Watch that you don't get a carbon buildup in your cylinder. I had a Techlusion on my R1100RS that was set too rich. I noticed a soot buildup at the end of the muffler. Sometime later I pulled the heads, and found quite a buildup of carbon. I spent quite a time dialing the pots in and eventually the soot was gone, the bike didn't surge and ran perfectly.

Has anyone here personally adjusted the valves or synched the throttle bodies on a their R1200S? I did it routinely on my R1100RS and always had it in a perfect state of tune. I've not attempted to do any wrenching on my R1200S, but would enjoy it I'm sure.
