Back when I did this on my 88 3.2 I cleaned up the connections and used PB Blaster on them for a few days. I may have used a propane torch as well. Large wrenches are your friend here and I think Pelican even sells specific ones for the job but I did not need them. I was a little surprised it was not harder to remove than it was but the PB Blaster may have had something to do with that.
