I enjoyed reading your post Normy, sorry the guys are beating up on you.

I really like the 928 cars especially from around '87/'88 when the styling really was much improved.

I almost bought a 928 a year or two back but all I came come across were the auto cars with the 32V engines, and to me the performance was OK but not spectacular (maybe my expectation was too high, or the cars I drove were just overly tired?). Love the GT and GTS cars (of course) - who doesn't!

Sounds like you have a quick 928, if you are pulling a 13.8 1/4 mile!!

Anyhoo...you did not say what generation B7 Alpina spanked you. Alpina have been building B7 cars since the very early '80s, these cars are VERY serious, they are just not fancy badges, sexy wheels, spoilers and a lowered supsension, many have had extensive engine work including big turbos or Supercharged on the new V8 models.
