The Alpinas are super nice, but I'd never buy one. WAY too much electronics crap in them. I imagine in a few years they'll be just like the 850s of years gone by (which I actually like) - way too expensive to maintain for that reason.
Nobody wants the 850s because the V12s are frightfully expensive to maintain and I'm sure the BMWs of today will be similarly insanely expensive to maintain in a few years when the wiring and circuitry and sensors start getting crudded up or failing. Unfortunate, because other than that they're really amazing automobiles.
