Help!!! BMW E46: Help can't bleed clutch!

Thought I would flush the clutch system. Used a turkey baster to suck the fluid out of the master cylinder. Like a dummy I didn't refill it, although I could still see fluid down in there. Hooked up my motive power bleeder and pumped up to 20 lbs. But can't get any fluid to go through the lines. I even unhooked the rubber clutch line from the hard line that goes to the slave cylinder and still no fluid comes out. Clutch pedal is completely dead. I know the line is not collapsed because I can run a small wire up in it. What did I do wrong and what can I do to fix it? I can open a brake line and the motive bleeder works just fine on that. Help!
