Let me change the term "sticky" to a little rough. It's not exactly "rough" but "not as smooth and slipery".

ok, let see if I got it right...
instead of primer, I can do sealer. When you say sealer, do you mean bondo, if the surface is not good (uneven)? Actually, my surface is still in very good condition. Only the paint is dull.
Hey milt, thanks for the welder recommendation, I "can weld" now but still have not installed the gas kit yet, will do some days.
