Well here's my update, not really sure if the problem is better or worse!
I did take the fitting out and clean the screen the best I could, and put all that back together.
I had previously replaced the "green coax" which included splicing in a new connector, and replacing the distributor cap and rotor.
Putting the distributor back in was more troublesome than I thought it would be. But finally got it in correctly.
Replaced the spark plugs (they looked ok but did have 15K miles on them).
And low and behold the car started up just fine, no problems. So I shut it off so I could put back all the heater hoses and the blower etc.
Started it up again, set the timing per Wayne's book.... drove around the alley VERY close to the hose at low speed, after less the 5 minutes the car dies! Pushed it back in to the garage. And wasn't until Sunday that I had time to mess with it.
Yep it starts right up! Didn't have that much time so shut it off.
So what could be happening "warm" fuel pressure problems? Is the accumulator failing?
Thoughts?
