I have no idea Ronin. On my 911, I guess they repainted the fenders only, not other parts. I guess other parts are original so the clear is dead, or maybe it doesn't have clear at all.
On my Lexus, I guess it had some top coat from before I bought the car (years ago), but what kind of coat (wax, polish, compound) that last so long?
I have painted cars (home paint) before and I always did it right (prep, primer, color, clear, sand buff). Now I am thinking of slightly wet sand the top coat, color, clear coat, and sand buff. I think I can do it but I don't know if it will last, without preping and primer it correctly.
