To answer the original question, I believe one of the guys on Rennlist did exactly that, replaced the motors only. I THINK he got them from MSC Supply, similar. Might want to check the history over there. I think the guy that did it sold his white carrera to current user Old Man Neri, from memory. Can't remember the original guy's username, but he's still on over there.
