All my family is from the Bay Area...the fault line in the family has always run along the line of 'Niners versus the Raiders. The City folks versus East Bay.
I'm a 49'er's fan, have been since I knew football...this weekend my Uncle called (long time Raiders fan, who used to take me to Raiders games in the '70's, early 80's, still has season tickets) and he is apoplectic. I had to talk him off the stoop.
I never thought Al could empty the positive well of Raiders fans, but for the love of second and short, he has managed to do it.
I was, of course, very cautious, and never mentioned O'Sullivan...never called Al, "O'Davis", or "O'Lane Kiffin", or the fans, "O'Raiders Nation". That would have been unseemly.
