yeh i just take mine to the county transfer site every once in a while
if you have couple lbs. of Cu the you could sell that to a metals recycler
where do you live?
most places have a transfer site in the Oregon desert they may be 100+ miles apart (about 2 people/sq. mile) -- in the valley, they are in each county, so pretty close
