Hey Mike,
I did actually try that, but the results were less than satisfactory. The last two paint jobs appear to have been the result of Earl Schieb or Maaco. And the razor thing would get some small areas clean but it wasn't consistent.
The other paint jobs were better quality and had very good adhesion and a blade wouldn't even come close
