As someone that looked for over 2 years for a blue G50 you have my sympathy. For the question on the 88CE. It's not worth that in my opinion. The 88 CE doesn't have anything special that I remember other than color matched wheels and some embroidery on the seats. The 89 25th anniversary is a more "special car" imho and I've seen really nice examples go for less.
