MaxHP chips are made by Russell Berry...they are specific to model of 944. He has recently done a new S2 chip, and is testing the NA chip I believe. Try his website out:

I have the S chip and I noticed an idle improvement and the throttle is more responsive. He has dynoed results too.
plus, he's a nice guy to talk to when you cannot open your DME's board....
