I guess I'll add one story of many ove the years. (I was pretty foolish when I was younger.)
I had just finished washing my Camaro(bite me

) when this dude in a 454 SS Chevy pickup backs up to my car and peels out, kicking stones and gravel up. Mind you, I had done absolutely nothing to this clown.
I waited until he pulls out and then flip him off. I was at the light waiting to turn left when he comes back, parks his truck in the road, comes to my ds window and asks me why I flipped him off. I explained my position and then I saw stars. I never even had a chance to get out.
Fast forward a couple of weeks after sharing my story with the other car guys I hang with. Seems the guy is the son of a local cop and thinks he can do whatever he wants. I grow more angry as the weels pass and think of all of the dastardly deeds I could do to his truck/house, etc.
I never did anything, thank goodness but I was sure thinking about it.
One day a friend and I are at a gas station and he pulls in. We lock stares and move toward each other. I casually put my hand in my pocket and his arms went up like I was going to rob him. WTF?!!!!
He says" Hey man, we need to stop this before someone gets hurt". I agreed and asked him why he had thrown the gravel on my car. He told me that a friend of his told him that I siad I could beat his Chevy truck. WOW, I didn't know this cat before the car wash incident.
We ended up shaking hands and going on our way. I was still kind of stunned as to why he was nice all of a sudden. I thought maybe a gorrilla was behind me.
I later found out that he told folks that I had a gun. Pfft. Never even shot or owned one. I would have to believe that being a PO's son ol' Dad had taught him a few tricks of spotting a potential gun carrier.
As the years went by, he was in the paper more and more for breaking the law. I think he finally went to jail for DUI or something like that.
