Your wife was right...unless this is the umpteenth time they've pulled something like that.

Dealing with ugliness with more ugliness just begets .....yeah, you got it...still more ugliness.

When you talk to their Dad how about saying if things like this continue to happen you're going to demand HE come pick up the poopy diapers. I'm guessing if you let them come over and play with the chickens for a few minutes, they won't want to hurt them or scare them by throwing things at them. Just a suggestion.
