I understand why you put them there. I'm just saying that by installing them in that manner you are shoving more air under the car. If you truly want to reduce your charge temp. you could get rid of the cones altogether or at least place them in front of the radiator if you insist on keeping them.
BTW, have you weighed the CF hood yet? Andrew Olson bought one and found that it actually weighed more than the stock hood. If your after the CF look there are alot of vinyl applique's (sic) that are available. You could use that on your mirrors for instance.
