I dont know for sure, but looking back at my old Competition Press/ Autoweeks from the "70's has many Porsches for sale, mostly 65's -75's. They seemed to be the higher end of the marketplace at the time. People wanted Porsches back then as they do today. The cars that were most avaiable were old race cars. One ad says "1965 Shelby GT 350R, 2 engines, 2 tranny's, extra wheels, tires, etc. for $10,000. Its so fun to look back to those issures, it makes me feel young.
