I'm actually not so worried about the ins. co's. I have my fair share of bad luck, but I have done pretty well with the couple of times that I have dealt with auto issues. The worst was with my e-wife rear ending someone - who at first said he was fine, then a week later had an atty and complained of back pains. Turns out he had a habit of setting people up.
I'll update on this. She has Farmer's, I have Allstate - they have been good to me. I really need to meet my agent in person one of these days
