That is a fantastic bit of trivia! I will get the workshop to check this...

I have confirmed that it is 2.2S unit. The rebuilder reckons that it will be slightly compromised, but they can alter the settings for the 2.4S. The workshop has faith in these guys, and have used them a lot for MFI work.
Provided the motor is still a 2.4 (I hope it is - that means that a 2.7 rebuild would be available to me if I ever won the lottery...) I reckon my best option will be to wait and see how good the 2.2S pump will be.
