Thanks guys. I'm just wondering how Carmax arrives at their value. Is it strictly trade-in value and if so, is it NADA or KBB? I'm willing to negotiate. But I've seen worse '03 330i's listed for the same price around here. No idea what they sold for. I'm not desperate at all and don't need to sell it. I certainly wouldn't let it go for $12k. I figure the prospects who want me to finance it are indicative of the credit markets more than their own credit-worthiness. But I don't want to deal with that anyway.
