Some rings seat well and others don't. On my Lycoming O-540-A1-D5 engines I'd run the dog out of them if compression dropped and it started oiling the plugs. I'd add Mystery Oil to he crankcase to get rid of the carbon. My 11S is stingy on using oil but others have to check theirs all the time. Go figure.
