Spring for an Alfa. Its very difficult to get a petrol engine, but the TD is pretty good.
Italy, especially Tuscany and Umbria have some of best quality, least crowded drivers roads you will find, ever. Tarmac rally stages as far as the eye can see. Gorges, mountains, lakes, tunnels- all excellent qulaity roads. Theyve been at it some time apparently.
And the Italians are, seemingly all, excellent drivers.
You need a proper Italian car. Enjoy.
