He sounds like a pretty poor employee. If you're not making money off of him right now, then I think the decision might be obvious. If he's earning you $$$, then you need to look at it carefully, as these times are tough, and changes to staff / personnel can affect a lot of things. In general, it doesn't sound like a good long-term strategy to keep this guy...

Yep. He is making me money, but I'm wondering how long it will be before he takes his own "raise" (stealing clients, padding hours, etc.).
