I have the Akra full race system and quality and workmanship is top shelf! It provides a more linear power delivery and the "power band" at 5K RPM is gone. It sounds good too and is not as loud as some of the other systems that I've heard.
I spoke to a BMW dealer about exhausts and his reply was the reason that BMW approve Akrapovic is due to the correct back pressure it provides. Some of the other systems are too free flowing and may cause lean mixtures at some stages. Apparently the ECU cannot compensate enough and you may run into issues.
Will I buy Akrapovic again? Yes.
