I don't know, Lamborghini did a pretty ggod job on the mechanical bits and body work. The only things I thought were a little crude were things like the glovebox door and things of that sort. The little stuff did improve on the later cars, as they had the time and money to work on the details. The important stuff was well sorted from day 1.
I suppose it might seem cheaper in the beginning to build your own car but I doubt it works out that way in the end. Even accounting for free labor, there are a lot of parts in a car. I would have rather restored a wrecked one.
