I have a problem with 18 years olds coming to the door to trick or treat tho. I always give them the "aren't you a little old?" line and give them a pencil. "And if you do anything stupid tonight I know where you live."

Yes, the cop was cool and reasonable. My experience with Fairfax County cops has always been that way, especially since I don't come across as a trouble maker. However, some idiot parent could have made my life more difficult, had they wanted to press the matter. I get kids knocking on my door all the time, since I now work from home, asking me to buy this or that or sponsor them for whatever. I really want nothing to do with them. I always buy whatever the Boy Scouts are selling in front of the local supermarket. But since there are always a lot of other adults around then, I feel like I don't have to worry about anything. I would be happy to leave out a basket full of candy next week when I go out to dinner. I just don't want to deal with kids, especially teenagers who are too old to be doing that kind of stuff.
BTW, yes, I am a pu$sy.
