Since I have a 5 year old and 2 year old, Halloween is a big deal at our house. My kids love it. The majority of the kids in our neighborhood are all the same age as my kids.
I keep telling my wife in a year or two I am sitting on the porch with my 100 pound German Sheppard Samson, and we are going to scare every kid that comes to the door.
On a funny related note, in about 1981 we lived in military housing while my dad was at Navy Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. OUr house was a one story cement block building with a flat roof. My dad would dress up like a werewolf, scary mask and everything. He would then jump down from the roof, scaring the absolute crap out of the kids, then go trick or drinking. I remember one time he jumped down to scare some kids in about 4th grade, and one of them was dressed up as a knight. Yep, wooden sword and all. My dad had a lump on his head for a couple of days.
God I love Halloween. I need to dig up my costume pictures from years past.
