The farm the horses are on is worth about $200K per acre. It's mostly trees, but there is a lot of pasture also. The other piece of land is worth around $120K per acre (maybe a few tens of K more). It's currently crop-leased out. I think the guy grows 150 acres of corn, or maybe a mix of corn and soy beans.
Farming is definitely not a bad way of life. If I ever have em, I'd love to raise my kids on a farm.
