I found the jail ward at LA County to be a pretty safe place. Probably the safest place in the entire hospital. The inmates/patients would much rather be in the hospital (even LA County!) than stuck in jail/prison. Time is time. Might as well serve it in a nicer environment. So they realize that they have to be on good behavior. If not, you send them back to prison.
That being said, you'll be a big hit if you've got dentures, pretty boy.
