Thank you for the warm welcome! The car is in wonderful condition and will be babied and used as something to make my kids belly laugh on the odd Sunday. I will be using it for pleasure and hopefully a very long time. I wish to make it as perfect as possible and the rebuild is spurred on by a rear main seal leak and a less than perfect leak down and warm compression test. It burns a bit of oil but it sounds great. Aesthetics are very important and the budget is based on quality. I know a complete build by others can hover around $16k. I just know the 2.7 had early failure due to heat and the 2.4 is a very reliable poor cousin of the high flyer 2.7. I guess i would like to have both reliable long term service as well as a little extra oomph, seeing as the original 2.0 has been gone since late 1970's
