Don't know if this will help, but I had some dealings in the early 1990's with a company that did (as far as I understood it then) all of the armour plating for Mercedes. That company was known as "Trasco" and is based in Bremen, Germany.
The other company that did some work for Mercedes on armour plating was "H & S" based in Lehrte, Germany.
As far as I know the armour plating offered by Mercedes was always outsourced—principally to Trasco—but I could be wrong in this.
