This is the leagues fault. They string out the early series' that results in these games being played so late. Also, they used to just have a world series after the regular season. Since they have 30 teams now that want to be in the playoffs and the league doesn't want to miss out on possible revenue they have 3 rounds now. 2 rounds seems like a good compromise to me, but i will stop here.
