Well I have succeeded with dropping a cellphone in a toilet. Had a phone in back pocket, dropped down my pants, heard a distant "plop" sound, didn't care and sat on a toilet to do my things. Fortunately, before I got on with business (20 secs later), my brain computed that "plop" might have been my phone. So I picked it up from a toilet, which was still relatively clean.
Dried up the phone and used it for 2 more years
I believe it was Siemens M60 splash-proof phone. Can't beet German engineering
