For max defrost:
1) pull up both orange levers between the seats
2) slide only the red lever on the dash to the right, leave the other to the left.
When you slide the red to the right it directs the heat to the top front window vents.
When you slide it to the left the heat is directed to the floor.
If you put it in the center half to floor half to the window.
Maybe something is broken up front behind the lever and somehow heat is not being directed to the top window vents.
