It is possible with an RC plane. I had a similar incident a number of years ago with my glider. One of the old guys flew his lead weight of a plane right through my wing tip, severing about 3.5 ft. of wing tip. my glider was about a month old at the time. Somehow, I was able to get it to spin down to the ground and at the right moment, moved the sticks on the radio just right and glider made a safe but jarring landing.
