Deeks: Yes it will! My regional Porsche club had a Driver's Ed event this past week at Lime Rock Park (Conn. USA), and there were all sorts of cars playing. It seems that almost everyone had great respect for each other's cars! Several 911 owners commented on how beautiful my 944S2 is! A 996TT guy in my run group actually said that I was the only car that was able to keep up with him! (I actually got around him a couple of times! hehe).
So, can a 944 instill the Porsche passion? Absolutely! The true Porsche enthusiasts are the ones who respect all models and enjoy the 'brotherhood' regardless of what make or horsepower or whatever the car has!
I am very fortunate that my club members have such a respect for each other!
