Going on 11 years ago I discovered that what I had was sleep apnea. The doctor told me that he could do surgery but that it was only a 50% chance that it would cure the problem. He said that if I could use the cpap machine the cure was 100%. I chose the machine and he was right. In over 10 years I have never spent a night without it.

If you have sever sleep apnea you can very easily use the machine and you will love it to the extent that you will never sleep again without it. Its life threating to sleep without it. If your case is not so bad then I can see how you might not like it.

I think sleep apnea is like getting braces in that you go to some doctors and they will say you have it if you snore a little - like they use to put braces on just about every child whose parents drug them to see the orthodontist. Problems with the medical profession...but thats another topic.
