I'm not sure I'd call a 4 hour parade lap racing. If you want entertaining racing in a circle, find your local dirt track. If you can stand the "culture"  , it's great fun to watch. Even better if you can find a "World of Outlaws" race. After growing up watching sprint cars and outlaws, I only lasted about 30 minutes at my first (and only) NASCAR race.
Honestly, isn't NASCAR more like a reality show? Everybody has their favorite driver, they follow the feuds, ups and downs, etc. At least F1 has the cool high-tech stuff to geek out over. NASCAR cars are about as technically impressive as a '95 Z28.
