Actually, in a weak economy, collectibles usually stay strong or even rise. Money is looking for a place to park and the traditional places are not appealing. There are still a lot of rich people around. If I'd had the $$ and bought every special car I've ever wanted when I first wanted it, I'd be a zillionaire right now. Unfortunately, I didn't have the $$ then and I don't have it now. That's life...
As for this car, it seems to be a low#, legit factory LW which has always been a lot more valuable than a regular, or touring '73 RS. Maybe double the coin, condition being equal. Beautiful resto, looks like no corners cut, it would be even more valuable if it was original and mint. There is a British guy in the rgruppe who has a '73 RS touring in this condition that is
unrestored. Yup, showroom condition and still smells new, not restored. That's the holy grail among collectors, but a 100 point (or close) resto would be 2nd best. The factory LW w/ all original LW parts is a money car.
