I replaced the alternator in my 89 3.2 Carrera after the warning light came on at idle, going out at full throttle and testing a no charge condition at the battery.

Now after going through this fun (!) job of taking everything apart and installing a rebuilt unit from Pelican, I started the car and the same condition exists!

Warning light on (at any engine speed). Tested no charge at battery!

All cable connections looked fine. No obvious broken wires at alternator.

The regulator is part of the alternator, so????

What am I forgetting as a possible cause?

At least the cleaned up fan assembly looks great!

Any advice would be appreciated!
