Yes, that's true. But I found that to be the case with my Dell, also.
And, supposedly, the telephone tech support on Apple has much lower wait times (I regularly waited 30-60 minutes on hold before speaking to a human being on Dell), and the quality of the tech support is supposed to be better. No FHE with Apple's telephone tech support, though. I live 2 blocks away from a mall with an Apple store, so anytime I have a question, I just walk to the store. If I need/want to bring my computer along, I'll drive the 3 minutes. Tech support is free. I couldn't do that with my Dell.
